The film festival will be held for the 39th from March 4th to 13th, 2022, to showcase the work of the world’s best emerging and established filmmakers to the diverse cosmopolitan community of Miami; Filmmakers and audience interactions, world-class parties and screening venues, and competition categories totaling more than 100,000 US dollars in cash prizes are well-known.
Highlights of the 2021 film festival include the awards ceremony and collaborations with film legends Pedro Almodovar, Rita Moreno, Riz Ahmed, Aldis Hodge, Javier Camara , Andra Day and the nomadic photographer Joshua James Richards exclusive in-depth dialogue; with Radha Blank, Gina Prince-Bythewood, Adele Romanski and Amy Seimetz wonderful knight hero dialogue; and countless world and International premiere. The highest award of the 2021 festival, the Knight Malimbas Award was awarded to Quo Vadis, Aida? of Jasmila Žbanić.
The festival also hosts dozens of world-class events each year, including Mercado de Cine Frances y Europeo, which brings together more than 40 buyers and sellers from Europe and Latin America; the annual event in cooperation with VARIETY, including Oscars International Film Round tables; and numerous seminars, master classes and industry happy hours. Known as “one of the 50 film festivals worth attending” by Filmmaker Magazine, the Miami Film Festival is happy to consider using your film for the 2022 edition.
